Clinton-Dole cannot be compared to Bush-Kerry.
first of all, CLinton had a great economy going, peace on earth, real positivity, and it was before the Monica scandal so even though everyone knew he played around it wasn't in the press. Dole on the other hand, has always been charisma challenged, a bit slow on the uptake, not considered a top rung leader and really had nothing to run on. Kerry has every issue in the book to run on. He is more charismatic, more visionary, more energetic and a lot richer than Dole. Bush's one and only issue is war, and Kery can take a good chunk of that away from him, after all Kerry IS the champion of veterans rights and a military hero. Bush is just the opposite.

I think if it's Kerry vs. Bush, Bush should win handily, unless the economy is so bad that people are really looking for an alternative. Kerry will have a hard time being competitive in the crucial swing states in the Midwest and has almost no hope of winning any state in the South.
