I believe the likely direction of a breakout is down.

Goep: Interesting article, but I kind of side with Pallisard on this one. And a TA key in support of it is the VIX, which is screaming way overbought conditions. See this SI editorial: siliconinvestor.com

All-n-all I've found the VIX to be a reliable indicator of overbought/oversold conditions, though exact timing (as always) remains more art than science. In any event I would not be going long many issues right now. The short side tactic seems to reflect the stronger probability over the intermediate term (note - and this isn't with regard, necessarily, to VLNC).

Hope things are well with you and yours.

John~

OT: Battery for XM Walkman

Goepling: Over on RB, the poster Diamant13 claimed that the battery life issue was resolved with respect to the XM walkman that everyone thinks is coming soon. I've been trying to get him to expand on this assertion but he hasn't responded. Makes me think he either doesn't know what he's talking about (most likely) or he spoke sooner than he should have and doesn't want to make things worse (less likely). Anyway, maybe TWO of us pestering him on that other site will make him cough up the info.

XMSR doing OK, hunh?

Ken

Goep-

Today we closed above a critical point. We re-tested the $2.50 area and very orderly, filled the gap...now with a double bottom. The close above $3 after filling the $2.50 gap makes the earlier gaps (below $2.50) inconsequential. In other words...get used to a new floor of $2.50.

The accumulation is deliberate and constant (6 months worth now)....and today, another 400K shares traded in the $3 range.

Volume and price are moving in parallel...up.

Forget news...the story is in the stock and how it is behaving.

Also...trades going thru at $3.07 in after hours.
