re: shouldn't the UN weapon inspectors be allowed at least to take a look in Israel as well to find out?

What good could that possibly do? They can't find their ass with both their hands!

What would be the point ? To find out if Israel has any WMD and disarm it ?

Ha, the Iranian plan...

IYO, does Sharon risk becoming a dictator ? A madman ?
Any decision including the wholesale price of tomatoes (and cucumbers) has to be approved by his Cabinet.

These are delicate persons. Twenty years ago, (Begin) they even postponed the Osirak attack that happened to have been preplaned on the day Mitterand, elected shortly before, was going to put three roses on the tombs of Jean Jaures, Scholcher and Victor Hugo in the Pantheon, with the TV and all. And they didn't wan't to spoil his party because his political enemy, Chiraq fucked up twice before with Saddam...

And Israel didn't have time to loose before the loading up and dissemination risk.

Now if you are looking for a case against Israel, you may have a cow to milk here.

However, when a democracy has nukes, no one really cares: everyone knows these are not offensive weapons but only a life insurance.
