kindof fishy ain't it.......
(I admit I have no Theodore Sturgeon but its now on a scribbled piece of paper to find at the local book shops-- I prefer the used ones....lots of them out here....

My favorite is still Bill The Galactic Hero and if you have the final adventure its listed for 128 bucks in Amazon....
Bill, the Galactic Hero: the Final Incoherent Adventure
unclear why, because on Ebay there is a collection of 5 out of the 7 books in series at 20 bucks for all including the Final Adventure(the first three are really worth reading IMHO)

I have been reading about John Bardeen (on line) and in the book Mr.Pierce (JJ Coupling), who is working at Bell Labs as is Mr.Bardeen comes up with the name to the successful product of Bardeen and Brattain's experiments. He called it a "transistor"

Shockley, Bardeen and Brattain get a Nobel Physics but Bardeen and Brattain did the work-- actually (according to this book) Brattain had a problem occur with his experiment setup and got water on the apparatus causing a photovoltaic effect and Bardeen (the theorist) deduced.

I watched the PBS Nova last night about Rosalind Franklin and how she was excluded from a Nobel prize for DNA--- good show.......Photo 51
