Let me put myself in that situation. I am advised to go into a 10day quarantine. I will do so without hesitation and do so without complaint. To break the quarantine would be a passive act of hostility and violence against my neighbors as LONG as i am within the 10 day period needed to know whether i am a grenade but do not know it. If there are people either too stupid to grasp the science of trying to prevent a catastrophic outbreak, or just too selfish, or perhaps just plain too mean to comply with quarantine, well what are we to say of people like that--o.k.? I think the draconian statute we have in the U.S. is written correctly(it is in a past post i posted here). For those who say it causes unnecessary panic are actually creating a situation where a panic will be a real situation for real reason, a breakout. Do they need a catastrophy to get draconian? By then it is TOO late anyways. I do NOT believe in bracelets quarantine but if a person violates quarantine, yes i do, they have proven they can not be trusted. As i noted, in NYC, if they call a quarantine emergency they can, and have, used Ellis Island and a couple other islands to enforce quarantine. What is so hard to understand here for those screaming about drastic measures to stop people who can't fulfill 10 days of quarantine? One thing can be concluded they don't have a clue what the world is up against here, and they get an F- in the subject of epidemiology. Quarantine is the ONLY way to hold off a global disaster based on what we know at this moment in time. Max
