Most training is carried out over the Atlantic, where supersonic flight is permitted. Andrews pilots joy riding over the Smokeys sounds very much like the kind of lie that Hill & Knowlton or John Rendon & Assoc. loves to cook up in their disinformation campaigns on behalf of the Department of Death. What you say sounds plausible, but I simply don't trust anything I read any more without verification. ************* Are you aware that the Andrews AFB website was taken down shortly after the attacks on 9/11, and that when it was brought back up several days later that it had been modified to cover up the fact that there were two fighter squadrons stationed at Andrews? That is a huge red flag about a willful cover-up, as far as I'm concerned. "The Memory Hole" has a copy of the original, pre 9/11 website pages. Much closer than Andrews with less congestion. I did not intent for you to think that Andrews jets should be scrambled to intercept the New York traffic. Let me clear this up. The first WTC impact occurred at 8:45 AM, the second at 9:03. By that time, every news network in the country was covering the attacks, and there was speculation on the networks about additional jets that were hijacked. What you need to get your mind around is the fact that the Pentagon was not struck until 9:38 AM. That is 35 minutes after the second WTC attack. At 9:03 the whole world had clear evidence that the crashes were no accident. So the question I pose to you is why did the USAF not have F-15s or F-16s in a pattern above Washington, D.C. by no later than 9:20 AM? They clearly could have been scrambled out of Andrews (where I'm certain there were available aircraft available) and been over the White House within six minutes. Well before Flight 77 was even in Washington's air space. Instead, we apparently had a late call to Langley AFB, and the responding fighter intercepters flew at about 25% of their maximum speed to the Pentagon. This defies any "standard operating procedure" that I'm aware of. The holes in the "official" story of the NORAD/USAF response are like a Swiss cheese. And this incident smells more rotten than a Limburger. For you to say "that some HELL was raised" is very curious. After 3,000 innocent Americans were murdered, you'd think someone would be held accountable. But no. Not in America. Not one dismissal. Not one indictment. Only the curious case of David Frasca, an FBI supervisor, (among others) who suppressed investigations into al Qaeda during the summer of 2001, and was rewarded with a bonus and promotion. What's wrong with this picture?
