Why Bushies are stabbing Powell in the back now. Boy do Bushies fear Kerry. No coincidence, JK has been criticizing Bush on his diplomatic failures. And he has a strong point.

So now, the clever sly dogs in the White House have realized, "we have to take this issue away from Kerry". So they start blaming Colin Powell for it all. Even though Powell was just following Bush's orders. So now you have all the right-wing hacks suddenly giving Powell the same treatment they give peace-marchers. Practically a traitor, they are saying. What a failure. All his fault the UN didn't back Bush. When a week ago they were all praising him. What phony disloyal bastards, huh? And Powell is probably more popular than Bush or any of them.

Well guess what? The world didn't back Bush because of the extremism of the neocons running Bush. It had notyhing to do with Powell. In fact the world likes Powell. He is the only moderate and only combat veteran in the White House. And now he's probably on his way out. Stabbed in the back by the chickenhawks. E tu Brute?
