Perhaps it would be useful here if we defined 'intimidate' as it appears in my handy dandy Reader's Digest Encyclopedic Dictionary

intimidate - tr. v. 1. to make timid; frighten 2. To discourage, silence, or inhibit by or as if by threats. - See synonym at threaten.

In short, 'intimidation' is an implied threat. What threat are we making when we criticize your posts?

What threat do I make when I say that Tim Robbins is a jerk and I'm not going to watch any of his movies anymore?

The only explicit threat I've seen uttered on this message board was by one of the anti-war group who suggested he would put a .44 magnum to my head. His post was deleted by SI and he has since stopped posting.
