It is a sign of mankind's stupidity that a city which is sacred to all 3 religions is the source of conflict rather than a cause of unity and friendship. You are correct of course and so long as a "sharing" solution to Jerusalem is not found, tensions will remain. I am a Buddhist, so I cannot really claim to understand the religious Muslim (or for that matter Jewish) mindset completely. One way or another both sides have to understand that their prosperity is interdependent and not a zero sum game. Until then...

BTW, I seem to recall that Israel did not always have Jerusalem, or am I wrong about that?
