Thursday April 24 2003 News Release

Mr. Gregory Crowe reports
ENTREE COMMENCES EXPLORATION ON SHIVEE TOLGOI, MONGOLIA; CLOSES NON-BROKERED PRIVATE PLACEMENT

Entree Gold has commenced exploration on its Shivee Tolgoi property in Mongolia. Shivee Tolgoi is immediately adjacent to and completely surrounds Ivanhoe Mines' Oyu Tolgoi (Turquoise Hill) property.

Exploration is to include geophysical (IP, gravity and magnetometer) and geochemical surveys along the projected northern extension of Ivanhoe's mineralized porphyry copper-gold system. Ivanhoe's Far North zone has been traced to within 900 metres of Entree's Shivee property. Previous surveys in this area have outlined coincidental IP, gravity and soil (gold, copper and molybdenum) anomalies on Entree's Shivee Tolgoi property, immediately along the projected strike extension from the Far North zone.
Prospecting, soil geochemistry and mapping will also be extended over Entree's zone III epithermal gold target.

Reconnaissance evaluation of several additional areas hosting alteration and/or mineralization will also be completed.

The company has closed the non-brokered private placement of one million units at a price of 40 cents per unit, as reported in Stockwatch April 11, 2003, for total proceeds of $400,000. Each unit consists of one common share and one share purchase warrant entitling the holder to purchase an additional share for 50 cents per share in the first year, and 60 cents in the second year.

Ross Turner has resigned as director of the company. Mr. Turner has resigned in order to pursue other business opportunities. The board of Entree would like to thank Mr. Turner for his invaluable advice and assistance in helping Entree Gold establish itself as an exploration company in Mongolia. The board wishes Mr. Turner every success in his future endeavours.
