My point that this little strip of desert would have no value to anyone if it had not been used as a unifying force by the vast and powerful Arab nations to keep their people focused and them in power. You missed the point. Algeria too is not mentioned in the Koran, yet, the French were compelled to leave the Algerians alone in 1962 --after more than 130 years of colonial occupation. At least, unlike the Pieds Noirs, Jewish Israelis will be allowed to stick around after the set-up of a Palestinian state endowed with East Jerusalem as its capital. Gus
