They (Muslims per se') care only about three things and in the following order: 1) Their spiritual standing with Allah 2) Their safety for and overall relations with family 3) Their general/financial well-being ...these people have little/no geopolitical preoccupation like the West tries to make so much of. They resent intrusions into their way of life (as would we) and they are fundamentally peaceful people. Unfortunately their deep religious perspective -- allows them to be exploited/manipulated by capitalistic/militant types. After all: "religion is the opiate of the masses". No different then how the majority of fundamentalist Christian Right in this country fall into line when one of their/our leaders claims religious predetermination/right. -JH
