Oops, I gotta correct myself. Apparently the faithful are allowed to read the Times online, they're just supposed to boycott the print edition:

I guess this lets them have whine with their boycott. Those other establishment bastions, the LA Times and the Washington Post, don't fair any better, see nytimesprotest.org . I imagine these particular keepers of the "Truth" don't have any problem with the Washington Times, the WSJ editorial page, or fairandbalanced Fox News, but who can say?
