SEC set to approve Wall Street pact

Nine firms to pay $1.4 billion over charges of biased research

Merrill Lynch’s former Internet analyst, Henry Blodget, and Salomon Smith Barney’s former telecommunications analyst, Jack Grubman, reportedly have agreed to pay $19 million in fines and penalties and be banned permanently from the securities industry to settle fraud charges, without admitting any wrongdoing.
Blodget will pay $4 million while Grubman will pay $15 million, according to reports published Monday in The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. The settlements are expected to be formally announced Monday

FWIW I'm cashed out today with some outstanding gains for the month. Market may be rolling over here. Having trouble holding 1469, and 1460 could easily break. No trading till I get a read on the prevailing winds...maybe a couple weeks.
