I don't have a problem with an Apple acquisition. TiVo could certainly grow revenues even faster than the current 100% if they advertised! :)

The company will be cash-flow even this year. I think they have enough cash.

What a big company could do is actively enforce TiVo's patents. TiVo seems to be laying back for now to save money, figuring competitors who violate their patents will be bigger scores later when TiVo has the money to get aggressive about it. Just a hunch.

I have no problem riding the stock up on buyout rumors and short covering. It's all good.

That's starting again somewhat, eg XMSR
