So who's the threat that Indonesia is worried about - My guess the Indonesian generals are concerned that the USA will use it's muscle to limit it's power of defense. I don't think it is due to another external threat right now. But Washington maintains a 12-year ban on arms sales to the world's most populous Muslim nation in an effort to curb continuing human rights abuses, leading Jakarta's frustrated generals to look elsewhere to replace antiquated arsenals. usatoday.com
