Good morning 'shape,,difficult to figure the markets now..Not having taken any losses yesterday, I actually moved cash in for todays action..That said, I won't hesitate to move right back to cash<g>..No question we are up against resistance..Fundementals need to catch up, or stock prices need to go down..;^) But, a good drop in oil prices could be just what the doc ordered,,that and getting bush's tax cuts proposals thrown in the dumpster. Let's be real, the US gov needs all the cash it can get right now, they may have to bail out some state gov's <g>..
And F, hard to figure, it's been a monster and it's near resistance as well..But just for the heck of it, I bought a few shares(less than I have been trading) yesterday looking for a quick trade if the markets find a little strength today...But I do think I may place a stop just to protect what I've made (an ounce of prevention and all that)..I will say though, in a difficult economy, Bill Ford appears to be doing a pretty good job of leading things in the proper direction. I was especially happy to see they are killing the thunderbird,no dilly-dallying, it didn't sell, so dump it...not to mention it is a damn ugly car,IMO..did no justice for the t-birds of old. I will load up though if it goes to the 9.25 range..
..I'm working fairly close to home today, so will check in around lunchtime to see F and the GDP #'s...I think now is the time to err on the side of caution though....;^)DD

Well 'shape, I as well am back to cash..I don't like being bearish and always worry that I will miss any "climb the wall of worry rally". I just don't see signs of fundamentals improving. If construction/housing rolls over as I expect, we could see a strong double whammy IMO.. I still expect to see lower oil/energy prices this Summer which certainly could help the economy. But with this SARS thing going on it's pretty ify out there. Not to mention the employment data.
Something to consider regarding ng prices this Summer is fuel switching if crude drops down..
Was talking to my folks who are down in Daytona, Dad said there were many less seasonal retirees there this Winter. It will be interesting to see how many Floridians are here this Summer. (speaking of dad, he sure had a good week last week with AT&T and all the stocks from the break up and others spun of over the last 40 years or so. If I'm not mistaken I think NCR is the only one he's sold of all the stocks)...Someday the paper work is going to be mindboggling<LOL>...glance down through this summary page for a quick hoot, and then keep in mind he had all dividends (in all the companies)reinvested up until a couple of years ago...lots, and lots of paperwork<g>
att.com

This was just the '84 divestiture( toss in mergers, spins etc.[SBC,LU,AWE....) and I think he or my grandfather (who gifted some of it to Dad) has been in this thing since the '59 3 for 1 split! youser<g>.. I think if it's gifted to me, I will gift it to my Sisters Kids..Now it's a matter of what generation wants to figure out the paperwork!!!<lol>
