There's an idea! Why doesn't the USA start distributing a currency backed by SUV's!!

A new minted SUV "piece" (you could use paper notes too I guess) would be worth a brand new SUV as manufactured at the time.

It's value would rust away overtime, steadily becoming practically worthless. Don't tell the Keynesians about this -g-
