well, you coulda shorted intc yesterday at the close and be in the black about 6 bits per share right now...while some of the gold shares are up today

Tony, I hope I haven't given the impression that I dislike you or anyone else here because of their positions. As you said, it's all about making money. Having people with differing viewpoints around, that are willing to share their insights, helps keep us all from getting complacent and losing our collective shirts. Life is a continuous learning experience, and part of the challenge is learning to separate the advice that is valuable from that which should be disregarded.

People do not dislike you because you short stocks and are supercilious about it. They do not dislike you because you are right or wrong. They just dislike you. I sympathize. This thread is not for gold bashers. This is because, regardless the price of gold, gold bashers are morons :) Zardoz, Hutch, Bob Johnson, Gold_Tutor, Tony H, and a few others are dangerously close to being gold bashers. Fine. But gold has a wisdom all its own. It sneers at paper dollars, and lets you know wars and SARS are the true arbiters of financial tastes in legal tender. EC<:-}
