Good article from the Guardian, Tom. It confirmed most of own impressions.

Couple of things stand out for me.

1. The line about right wing criticism is probably BBC's window dressing. It seems like BBC is officially embedded in the Spin Machine; the right wing should rejoice and stop complaining.

2. I enjoyed the line about '..the disconnection between the political elite and the public...'. The Brits can still think for themselves, maybe now they can do something about Tony Bendover.

3. The last paragraph indicates that not all is lost...we will see if they strike..

[Side note: Le Monde had an interesting article today reminding us that all of yesterday's North Korean statements about nuclear missiles testing, etc., were issued by State Department and not the North Koreans.}
