After your recent horrific post to me & today's reply, I thought I'd bring to your attention the exponential difference since it seems that only those unintentionally harmed by Coalition forces seem to matter to you. I grieve for all of those harmed, but knowing that the intentional harm by the Butcher of Baghdad is over, I have some sense of relief. It is over & far more people have been spared than harmed. Thousands of children have been released from prisons and horrible conditions for alleged political crimes. The rapes have ended. The torture is gone. No more mass executions. I realize that in war civilians will be harmed. And since Saddam made damn sure that he put civilians in harms way, I'm amazed at how low the totals were. No doubt Iraqi forces are directly responsible for a large number of their own civilian casualties. You can call me names, curse my name & denigrate me any way you wish. I know exactly what your POV was prior to the war. I know it didn't change even when many of your predictions & alleged concerns turned out to be baseless. And even when the civilian casualties were incredibly low in the face of Saddam's attempt to maximize their suffering you remained steadfast in your contempt while ignoring Saddam's horrors. As reports detailing decades of horrific suffering being exposed, you still seem only concerned with the scant few unintentional casualties by Coalition forces. Why are they the only people worthy of your concern? What of the countless hundreds of thousands raped, tortured & slaughtered by Saddam? What about the 24 million Iraqi's no longer under threat of unspeakable horrors? Are they not worthy? Or is this more about your politics than genuine concern?
