>>I missed that.<<

Apparently. You, and everybody else who gets their news second hand, or third hand, and never takes the time to actually listen to, or read, the speeches.

>>Have a link?<<

Nope. I actually listened to the speeches, myself. I can give you general directions. Read Powell's speeches to the UN, read Bush's addresses to Congress and the United Nations.

Don't worry, big fella. I hereby stake all credibility I have on FADG on the assertion that Bush and Powell both staked their own credibility on the assertion that the intelligence agencies of major nations report that Iraq has WMD.

I don't feel like googling this. I am feeling far too mellow.

I'll make you a wager.

Find a major country, or even the UN, denying that Iraq has WMD.

Otherwise, take a deep breath, say OM, and contemplate.

France hasn't stated they are certain Iraq doesn't have WMD. And you take that as proof that Iraq did have WMD.

Considering that France was vehemently, almost desperately, trying to prevent the Iraq war and save Saddam's hide, don't you think they might have said this if they thought they could have gotten away with it? Instead, M. de Villepin said that war was unnecessary because the inspections had "contained" Iraq's WMD programs, thus admitting that they existed.

Now why do you think he said that?

Note France took the position that inspections SLOWED DOWN Iraqi weapons programs, and kept them on the move. German intelligence briefed that German companies had sold Iraq mobile labs. Et cetera.

Haven't been reading here very carefully, have you?
