you have NEVER been more mistaken about me than right now. You judge just as quickly as some of the Pharisees

Judging & "like the Pharisees"?

Mr Santiago , you really don't expect me to relate to being compared to those old demeanded meanie ancient rascals "The Pharisees " ...do you ? This is about as irrelevant a comment to me as the snows ontop of Kilimanjaro and my knowing intimately the mating ritual dances of the WaTutsi tribes of Africa . Or do you really expect that in man's future philosophy and lives , like the brave people that will go exploring into space and innerspace , will stop every few moments to reflect on the rights and wrongs of some tiny ancient mythological tribe of Liliputians called the Pharisees?

There are myriad stories of the "Messiah" , Saviors , and bringers of light to mankind ...mystical poets and philosophers such as Socrates , wise Emperors that taught temperance and virtues of self-control like Marcus Aurelius , to the Buddha who taught exactly everything your angry young Rabbai did in country villages along Gallilea , after he got dunked in the Jordan river and then proceeded to get thrown out of every village he went into for lack of good graces and good manners.

It's all very nice that he cared for lepers and the outcasted unwanted disposessed of his day . There is much to be said for the recognition of the equality of everyman's soul having worth , that even when limbs and arms are frozen and the man is paralyzed he may still not have to feel helpless & live with the light of knowledge of the beauty of life within his heart and feel alive. Jesus using the lepers and the sick was a good move , gave him an instant "audience" and made the priests angry , but hardly worth making him into a "GOD". Thank you...

This is called progress of civilization and the seeds of such views and visions of compassion , temperance and fairness were planted everywhere in men's hearts, and self-knowledge as they gazed upon the world anew. More mature with hearts at the dawn of the human awakening , excited by the wonders of Natures God, and pursuing with all eagerness the answers to the riddles of life in all it's many subtle facets . And in the developing realms also of the human heart & mind . You have absolutely no monolpoly on them, nor do you shed much light , other than vague references to Lilliputians and Pharisees. And your religion started many bloody wars ...and stood in the way of progress<G>

But you think I have lost reason not wanting to participate in this dellusion of Pharoahs and Pharisees? We would be teaching it in Harvard , Standford and other higher learning institutions if it had the slightest relevance , but it doesn't really . It never surprised me that Moses wandered lost in the desert for 40 years ...they were as a group quite certifiably "out to lunch" , just as you are, who cannot think for himself . It's a group dellusional and mass hysteria kind of thing, and people pretending , complete with tinkerbells and candles , holy lands and crusades and high sounding words and argument ....signifying nothing but dellusion.

Be compassionate if you choose and seek reason a little farther and wider than the trough of ancient superstitious apocrypha you currently drink at ...and the world will surprise you. Just open any window...

The Progress of Man

First he appeared in the realm inanimate;
Thence came into the world of plants and lived
The plant-life many a year, nor called to mind
What he had been; then took the onward way
To animal existence, and once more
Remembers naught of what life vegetive,
Save when he feels himself moved with desire
Towards it in the season of sweet flowers,
As babes that seek the breast and know not why.
Again the wise Creator whom thou knowest
Uplifted him from animality
To Man's estate; and so from realm to realm
Advancing, he became intelligent,
Cunning and keen of wit, as he is now.
No memory of his past abides with him,
And from his present soul he shall be changes.
Though he is fallen asleep, God will not leave him
In this forgetfulness. Awakened, he
Will laugh to think what troublous dreams he had.
And wonder how his happy state of being
He could forget, and not perceive that all
Those pains and sorrows were the effect of sleep
And guile and vain illusion. So this world
Seems lasting, though 'tis but the sleepers' dream;
Who, when the appointed Day shall dawn, escapes
From dark imaginings that haunted him,
And turns with laughter on his phantom griefs
When he beholds his everlasting home.

We are the flute, our music is all Thine;
We are the mountains echoing only Thee;
And movest to defeat or victory;
Lions emblazoned high on flags unfurled-
There is a wind invisible sweeps us through the world.
