Havent heard much as yet as to how they captured this one...Only that he was either (coming or going ) to Syria....

Apparently he flew from Tunis to Syria, where he was "escorted" to the Iraqi border by Syrian authorities fearful of suffering Bush's wrath.

As for WMDs, I also have a hard time believing they could just destroy thousands of tons of materials without any paperwork as to where and how much was destroyed. You don't dump that stuff just anywhere. And we know they haven't accounted for thousands of tons of the stuff (according to UNMOVIC and UNSCOM inspection authorities).

So IMO, it's not the fault of the US if Baathist credibility was, at best, questionable and any claims that they had destroyed their WMDs couldn't be believed.

And if, as has been reportedly claimed by some of the recently surrendering Iraqi scientists that Saddam had ordered WMDs destroyed just before the eve of the war, then they were definitely in violation at that time.
