RE: "Israel should have helped a real pro-Pal group come to power..." I didn't say "other Arabs", I said "Arabs." The Palestinians are Arabs. As such, they are committed to the destruction of Israel. They have docilely sat in refugee camps since 1948 to further that end. The Israelis worked with local Arab leadership, but those people could only deal with local problems. You keep thinking that the Palestinians are the issue. They are NOT! Do you see any sign that the Palestinians are preparing for a state? The "Road Map" has already been offerred and rejected and 3000 people have died in the interim. The current Israeli administration would not have made the offer in the first place.
