Good post Lizzie -- nice to hear from someone who actually has done some homework and isn't just making whiney rantings from the feminazi extreme left or Rush "ditto head/apologist" right. ...and your post pays no mind to the municipal bond market where states & federal agencies will have to borrow at far, far higher rates to finance infrastructure projects (that create millions of jobs), and help keep states liquid/solvent. <--- this is now especially important given that over 40 states are going to be running deficits in the hundreds of millions (some several billion.) The GOP governors aren't sure what to do -- they are squirming trying to square with their own state's fiscal crises/neeeds and yet not appear disloyal to Bush. -JH
