George,

I'm truly IN LOVE with the idea of giving back every single red cent to the rich, the poor -- whomever. Who would not want that?

...however when we get up in the morning. Before any of us ever put a foot to the floor -- we face a truly, indisputable problem -- having absolutely nothing to do with Bush or the DEMS.

That is -- we have no choive but to fund local/county/state/federal governments. Even if we cut government to the bone -- we would still have to ASK the wealthy to pay a fairly large and disproportionate amount of these very taxes.

Simply because:

1) they have far, far too much money as it relates to the mean, and would be forced (due to simply math) subsidize all the rest of us.

2) To tax the middle class is nothing more then recycling/flushing money through the government's treasury. Every dollar taken from one middle class person is handed right back over to another (or it goes to Defense -- which protects the wealthy biz interest more then us individuals, buck for buck) -- essentially there is no NET benefit to the government or to the middle class taxpayer.

I, as a middle class person -- spend nearly every nickle I make -- just to get by. These dollars go immediately back into the economy (recycling.)

However if I, was a very waelthy individual and need not have to spend my entire "week to week" earnings/wealth on a "day to day" basis -- so therefore any extra money that I receive in the way of a tax break will be invested/put aside for my kids to ultimately inherit. Now, in the end -- thats not so bad in principal, but it would have no/extremely little immediate stimulative/job creating effect as Bush asserts. It may create some jobs in the margins, but it would do nothing more then shift needed dollars back to those who are benefitting most by America and its structure

The only LONG TERM way we can rejigger wealth (so that is close to something reasonably equitable -- and based on hard work/ingenuity -- is to tax those who INHERIT their wealth -- and did not earn it personally.

We need a policy of TAXING very substantial ($10 million or above) INHERITANCES -- and we must completely eliminate the estate tax as a consequence.
