You better have it ready -- cuz I personally prepare over 300 tax returns a year -- and know of NO Bush/GOP-led policy that provided such a tax break -- that was not already part of previous IRS code. I'm all ears; and if I'm proven wrong then I'm going to have to amend many returns for those clients who took/take distributions from their pensions. What is this "one time" exemption you refer to -- and how does it apply that is new. Are you over 55? Did you get forced from service/job after age 55? Did you have severe financial hardship (unforseen medical) that provided you an exemption of some sort? -JH
