No fan of Grey Davis here, but Bush is even more unpopular. After all, we had a huge budget surplus and spent it on Ken Lay and Bush's friends. Then, when Bush visits here or talks about state fiscal matters on the radio, he blames those states with a deficit on "fiscal mismanagement"- absolutely no mention of the fraud involved. The candidates Bush supports for govt office in California can't even make it though the Ca republican party system. If it were up to California Bush would not take 04, no way.
