you know what, I think the same thing!

Now, I readily admit, that in the past 2 years there have been a few fits and starts that never panned out. This could be another one, maybe it will fall back and die like all the others who knows.

I am aware of a large project at Cisco, I have a few friends who wanted to get on that for the longest time but they were laying off not hiring. Then, in the last 2 weeks, both got jobs! (as contractors). Pretty good, obviously some money was freed up from somewhere.

That's good to hear. I truly hope people can find the work they want & need. Being out of work for an extended period can drive you crazy.

Fortunately, I work for myself -- so I have job security.

I hope what your hearing has some legs. Regardless my political persuasion -- I don't like seeing/hearing about anyone without their work, especially in a country as rich and diverse as ours.
