I've heard of Xtechnology..they sell on EBay..they're out of the Cleveland area. In fact my brother bought an AMD computer from them last year. They're not bad...their prices are pretty good.

Around the same time as my brother bought his computer I bought one from Dell. I've had zero problems with the Dell. He had sound card driver problems, and mostly because of his own less than expert tinkering had to reload Win XP home.

I think for what you get on the deals that I posted (shipping included), you'd have a hard time building your own from scratch for those prices. I'd go with one of the Dell deals and add (buy) an additional 256MB of RAM from Crucial...probably can get the RAM for $30-$40.

For what you get, those Dell promotion prices are hard to beat.
