A response tempered only with the "sound and fury " , the pride and the prejudcial passions that reflects the firery hell & brimstone preacher from Gallilea you so admire as a hero....who was only sent unto the children of the house of Israel , we must remember .<G>

Or some such nonsense of his own imaginings...

(lots of strange things happen out there in the desert alone , 40 days and 40 nights eating locusts )

You don't find Hindus or Buddhists condemning you to hell , even though almost everything that Christianity preaches is found in the essence of their teachings from 1000's of years before the rabbai comes along , only sent unto the tribe of Israel but more refined and real. Funny , that you see Buddha teaching for all , and the benefit of all , and also sends his disciples out to preach the Gospel/Dharma to all the nations of the world as well for the final salvation. But Jesus was only preaching to save his own tribe ? He himself says so...but they let him down , so he learned some great lessons himself most assuredly . The sick would listen , wouldn't you ? If some magician came along and noticed you with promises of eternal rewards and healing out of the misery and despair?

And why not talk about Freud , Jung , or Maslov and others in the field of Psychology and human analytics ? If God is so great , then he certainly could stand a little scrutiny from his emerging little struggling human wards with free will running about here on earth ? And some of those little monkeys still believing the world just sprang into existence 10,000 yrs ago...and Why?
Because God is so great ...and yet so barren as to have only one son , and he is brash, vindictive , jealous and given to fits of ungodly anger etc etc<G> Just read your Bible.

If the promise of heaven is what brings the faithful together , then by all means be joyous and carefree . But it could be just as easy to look at death as another chance to go on , explore and to fathom more . If you only could understand that going somewhere that has no pain , no hell and no sorrows is something earned by blind faith alone , then you really are a believer in miracles . Whatever makes you feel good and part of a "group". Yet people of all times were always more moved and stirred up by a wonder-story of magic supernatural transformation ...than any true reasoned , contemplated moral efforts in themsleves .

Your belief that you have some kind of an advantage in seeing something that was so universally known throughout most all the ancient world , but so propagandized by an empire caught up with the latest fad & fascination with
the supernatural...as pushed by Paul . Of course all who disagreed later were squelched and put to the sword . The longest running one-man medicine show on earth, complete with Holy water and oils, crusades and endless slaughter...

What you have now , is no truth at all . If Jesus was saying what I think he was saying , than that message certainly would transcend all of Judaism Christianity and Islam put together , and there is no "Holy Land" in reality
just those who are asleep and the walking dead , and those who are alive to the truth.

So a Hindu or Buddhist could be just as saved as you ...sans little speeches about "Our" holy land , "Our" only holy scripture , "Our" only Son of God , and other religious propaganda and the one great foolish notion of all , that you own the rights to heaven & speak for God . Jesus was very late to the party , and was a Hebrew , sent unto the Hebrews , by and for the Hebrews . In India they invented the idea of the Messiah when Moses was wandering rag-tag in the deserts for 40 yrs , and even from before that.

It would truely be great if anything in Christianity was original , but absolutely none of it is. The greatest story ever sold , based on fear and avoidance of pain in an everlasting eternal life after . Easy to see why people would buy into this, try to belong and not be left out and sell their souls for it. But whatever gets them huggin and kissing down in Georgia <G>

But since you like "Jesus" the best , while others have their own messiahs , and it is best and God's will that they should ...

here's a link to one of those New Age Christian movements I did some research on recently , The Association of Unity Churches ....for it was at one of their local churches at Easter we did the HIV children's dinner and gathering.
unity.org

I had never heard of Myrtle Fillmore before or her Silent Unity Prayer, "practical Christianity" & modern healing movement . But it seems she had some very sound and inspiring ideas , long overdue you who need to open your minds a bit ...and it seems her ideas caught hold and flourished here in the USA as well as abroad , yet feel free to pick it to pieces and denounce it as heresy as I know you and Elect will , LOL...but Myrtle was quite a gal it seems .

an excerpt from her
" Atom Smashing Power of the Mind"

websyte.com

IN ALL AGES and among all people, there have been legends of prophets and saviors and predictions of their coming. Anticipation of a messiah has not been confined to the Occident, for several of the prominent religions of the Orient have prophesied a messiah....

The secular world has been taught that Jesus was so superior to mortal man that He can be thought of only as a god. This removes Him from us all as a man whose character we may emulate and as an example of what we may become and places His attainments far beyond human possibilities.

But Jesus laid no claim to that superiority over other men with which the church so persistently invests Him. His teaching is that all who keep the divine law as He kept it will become like Him and His disciples. "Neither for these only do I pray, but for them also that believe on me through their word." "I in them, and thou in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that thou didst send me, and lovedst them, even as thou lovedst me."

By separating Jesus from the rest of the race we close the door against the real man, the man that every personal man must progress into. "My little children, of whom I am again in travail until Christ be formed in you," said Paul. There is a great awakening, in all parts of the world, to the absolute necessity and immediate possibility of a race of men patterned after Jesus of Nazareth. Thus is germinating the seed of the new race that Jesus sowed. "Except a grain of wheat fall into the earth and die, it abideth by itself alone; but if it die, it bearest much fruit."

Jesus taught the highest Truth ever given to the world, but in addition to His doctrines He gave the race His purified, glorified body. He purified and spiritualized the natural blood until it became a spiritual life stream, into which all may enter and be cleansed. He spiritualized the cells of His corruptible body and set them free in "the heavens," where we may all appropriate or "eat" them. The heavenly kingdom to which Jesus so often referred is the unlimited spiritual consciousness where mind and body are equal in all activities. When we come into the full consciousness of "the heavens," the body will respond instantly to every thought; then time, space, and all the limitations of matter will disappear. It is in this consciousness that Jesus now lives; His "second coming" will be the revealing to men and women everywhere that He has not been absent at any time. "Lo, I am with you always."

enjoy the link & the Gospel, but be wary on-guard against
