If verified, the alleged discoveries only indicate that on one occasion there was a plan for contact between an Al-Quaeda rep and Iraqi intelligence. Hardly grounds for a "conspiracy to crash planes into NYC" charge. The meeting may quite possibly have resulted in nothing at all, or an expression of mutual distrust and dislike, or anything.

On the same basis, other articles this week could have had headlines "Proof that Bush worked with North Korea". The same level of evidence is available.
