Well, it was a toss up between the Sony 717 or the Nikon. they were neck in neck into the final stretch Anyhow, I already love it and still only familiar with about 20% of its capabilities. FWIW, I also debated in my mind, over the Nikon D100 But it was like $1600 and frankly, I'm not a professional By any means. Sure would be nice to somehow make a few bucks with what I got But I'm not planning on it Justy enjoying it for all its worth. P.S> Don't know if anyone on the thread is into video For Christmas, my mother bought me a Panasonic SV-AV-10 It's about 3/4 the size of a pack of cigarettes The stills are crap, and the video isn't awesome But all in all, it's a pretty cool little gadget
