TWEAKING THE CONSERVATIVE NOSE GAILY MSI, I was searching Amazon for Dan Briody's new book on the Carlyle Group called "The Iron Triangle" amazon.com and happened upon this wonderful compilation of GHP bashings: amazon.com ******************** W/R/T Barry Diller on NOW -- Unfortunately, I was distracted by a call during part of his presentation. I'll have to go to the website for the transcript. I did post his speech to the NAB last night: wga.org Yes, we have the Internet, where we truth-seekers seem to be holding our own, and the local public meetings which I attend, such as the OSU class on "Dialogue on the War" and the Amnesty International meetings give me the sense that those who still participate in civil society would have George Bush tossed out on his ear in a nanosecond. But, unfortunately, we're a small minority of a very bovine population of mighty slow elk. The American public certainly seems to be prone to exactly the sort of propaganda manipulation that kept the German populace in a delusional state for a dozen years. Hopefully we can rid the political scene of the madness in Internet time. Though I'm not holding my breath yet.
