The last I heard was the trail led to some high up CIA guy and then the whole investigation was dropped. Where did you hear that? You wouldn't happen to have a link or some documentation of that, would you? LPS5

I think you may be referring to Anthony@Pacific who had a thread right here on SI. He is awaiting trial for allegedly working with insider information from FBI agents who allegedly were paid or working with him. I believe one of the charges originally discussed in news was that he may have used some information to transfer funds out of the country to Lebanon right before 9/11. He was also one of the best known short seller analysts. I believe those charges have been dropped or rather were never formal charges, but there are many who post on his thread who know much more about this than I.
