It is reaonably certain, that the Prophet said the exact words recorded in the Koran, and that nothing has been changed since it was first written down.

For every other religion, this is not true. The Bible we have, is copies of copies of copies. And each copier had their own peculiar (sometimes very peculiar) ideological bias. Each had things to prove, points to make, organizations to empower.

From the time of Christ's Jewish reform movement, nothing has come down to us unchanged. From Paul's Church, fragmentary bits. Mostly, what we have is from after the Church became the official religion of the faltering Roman Empire.
