There are
some things decent people just can't let stand.

Then decent people should boycott, pressure, take responsibilty themselves. It's when the government gets involved and uses the power of the gun to enforce morality that things become more dubious, IMO.

If decent people can't let things stand, they'll change. If they don't change, then either there are very few decent people, or decent people CAN let them stand.
