Chris, I have attended services at several different churches in a few different states including the Texas Bible belt. Some of my relatives are preachers.......( although I hate to admit it...........LOL). They all tell the same story about gays............Leviticus scriptures, Sodom and Gammora( sp?). Once I met a woman who was a Pentecostal who didn't agree about the teachings her church taught about gays. She and I both no longer attend that type of church ( for other reasons as well but the gay issue was strong with us both). we both didn't voice our opinions to others in that church because we would have been shunned. Normally,that doesn't bother me but a close relative was in that church's hierarchy and I didn't want to embarrass him. I would be thrilled to find fundamentalists who are not anti- gay...............Show me where they congregate and I'll check it out. The different religions intrigue me and I am always open to new twists...that is what progressives are about. I also had a step-brother who was gay and died of AIDS close to 20 years ago so I have a fair understanding of the trials and tribulations of the gay male lifestyle. Pat
