Haqihana,

I will never disparage anyone I know by applying vulgar labels to them. Especially my ex-fiancee, a woman I once loved, regardless of who she was working for, her occupation, or what government agency that co-opted her. If this is what you desire, you had better change the plan. Her depth was an illusion caused by the additional presence of unseen artists. Besides, she nothing to do with anything that I have said. It has been all my own doing, and has also been in harmony with the will of God.

As for Sheryl Crow, I know both the good and bad that she has done. I forgive her, and I simply call it justice. She has had my number for 20 years, and now my completed destiny has allowed me to emerge from the chrysalis, as a man changed for the better. Most of my impurities have been burned away while in this crucible. You could now say that I’m almost all Jekyll, no Hyde. If you read Melville you may “call me Ishmael”, the Ahab I was is dead; consumed by a destiny.

Darren and Haqihana, because you are clearly a contrived callous infidels, I forbid you to set your ear upon even a single note of her music. You would not understand the beauty created by her, her band-mates, her crew and her friends.

For everyone else that would like to know emotion distilled to its essence, here are two avenues IMO. If you know the history of the story, the attention to detail is astonishing; from tone, style, track number and tag.

Sheryl Crow’s “The Globe Sessions” is distilled despair and pain.
Sheryl Crow’s “C’mon, C’mon” is the essence of hope and re-birth.

Art is in the soul, and thanks from me to these artists; Keith Richards (of course), Lenny Kravitz, Emmylou Harris, Natalie Maines, Don Henley, Steve Earle, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kid Rock, Craig Ross, Doyle Bramhall II, Liz Phair, Brian Scheubel, and Stevie Nicks. I have never met any of you, yet I am in your debt, and in the debt of a great many more artists.

I have never left my nations flag on the ground, I had only been charged with carrying the flag of humanity instead. The world is now a better place, and Americans and America have been the tools of change.
