Mosaid doing a Rambus

All your DRAM are belong to Mosaid

By Staff at the Newsdesk: Monday 28 April 2003, 13:58

It's noticeable that none of the big three memory manufacturers have signed up yet

AS IF THE COURT decisions and pending court cases surrounding Rambus weren't enough to keep memory manufacturers on their toes, Mosaid is claiming that every one of them owes it royalties. It doesn't matter if it's SDRAM, DDR or even Rambus RDRAM. Apparently, everyone has been using Mosaid's patented technology.
After all the fuss there was and still is over licensing Rambus' contested patents, you might be forgiven for thinking that Mosaid wouldn't stand a chance.
