LOL -- the post you cite was in speaking in agreement with me Bill. I am not an expert on China, but I have been there 20 times and spend months there each year -- so at least I am not speaking our of complete ignorance.

you are playing a political card in the wrong place. The only reason for China will remain to be a developing country has NOTHING to do its political system but everything to do with its being POOR. In order to stimulate the economic development, the tax is extremely low in China, thus the gov. has no income to develop its health care and social welfare. It is NOT like Chinese gov. has not realized the problem.
