It's not yet clear whether McCaw and QCOM have come to terms on all of McCaw's demands. The court sure could help things along here by ordering that all existing rights to use QCOM IP are assigned to the new management. This would reduce the scope of the negotiation between McCaw and QCOM and perhaps hasten the resolution. I do think that QCOM wants to make the McCaw deal work. It is far better for QCOM, strategically, than the other bids.
