In Canada, there are very few independently owned newspapers anymore, as even the smallest town newspapers belong to giant national/international conglomerates. By small towns, I mean very small. If they have a newspaper, they are most probably in the "group". It's efficient, you know, because these small papers can run articles from the parent, not having to worry about research, view point, etc. Phil
