All points well taken, Dolinar. Indeed Robert Graves was my first introduction to Livia. Had she been a man I suspect she would have made to the top of the list in "Plutarch's Lives."
All that said however I would be terrified if Livia were to be around with all the appropriate addenda to become president of the USA. And though she kept Octavius Augustus going we have our historical suspicions she offed him to set up a place for her son Tiberius as emperor and I have lost count how many souls she sent to Elysium on her path along Tiberius sitting on the throne.
