the Michelin star-struck restaurant of Hotel de Paris in Monaco

Guess you pay more for the "star struck" bit.

More pertinent, is how do you get to be one of the critics, and do you eat for free? -g-

<<The last part of the sentence is redundant, of course. French would DIE before they call their restaurant a "laundry" <g>>>

Nonetheless, that place IS a kick-ass fine dining experience and is one of the best restaurants in the world, without a doubt.<NG>

When I stayed at the Day Paree, I couldn't even get a seat in the restaurant (they asked me if I wanted to reserve when I made the hotel reservations, and I figured, nah, how busy could they be. <g>) I had to eat at the Herman Teege, and the next time stayed there. The rooms are just as nice. But the restaurant is not as good.
