No I was pointing out how small the debt service is on the annual trade deficit in relation to the size of the US economy.

That of course is the classic argument. Debt need not be repaid, but always "serviced". National debt compared to GDP is low, or personal debt compared to income is low, so keep on borrowing, lots of green space yet.

Now you are making the classic SI mistake, you are misreading and then launching an argument against your own misinterpretation of what I wrote.
