The search is being conducted internationally, according to the firm's founder and managing director, George Fistonich. The company is also spending $NZ30m on a winery on the Ihumatao Peninsula, in Mangere, Auckland. Villa Maria also owns wineries in Hawkes Bay and at Marlborough, on the South Island. Fistonich will become the company's new chairman, once the new CEO is selected.
