not really true, many of the moderates wh supported this war (I was one of them) on the basis of the HUGE CACHE of WMDs that Bush & Powell claimed existed. Powell had "smoking gun evidence" according to the presentation he made at the UN.

So this was all a lie then, kindof like when Clinton said "I did not have sex with that woman"? Sounds like it. Except this particular lie had the net effect of the death of thousands of people.

So as far as you are concerned maybe this lie was acceptable but it certainly wasn't to me and I think a lot of moderates are pretty disgusted by this.

When we first went in we supposedly had evidence of their existence. You would think that that evidence included a location and possibly the size of the stash. Did it not?
