15:09 ET QLGC QLogic Earnings Preview (41.71 +1.28) -- Update -- Qlogic reports Q4 after the close with Reuters Research consensus earnings estimates of $0.30 per share and revs $118.5 mln. An A.G. Edwards analyst believes the co. will beat consensus top line estimates with +5% q/q growth vs. +4% consensus and report earnings of $0.31 vs. consensus of $0.30. The analyst recommendation was to accumulate shares prior to its reporting today due to his bullishness and weakness following competitor ELX's blow-up. Would note that the co has a history of delivering upside surprises, and that the stock has come under pressure following two of the past three upside reports: -8.9% (beat Q3 by $0.02), 21.7% (beat Q2 by $0.02) and -1.3% (beat Q1 by $0.01).
